Alta Valdera Park

The “Parco Alta Valdera” (Alta Valdera Park) is a homogeneous territory in the south-east of the Province of Pisa, near Volterra and clote to the provinces of Florence and Siena, therefore strategically placed in a particular artistic context. valdera

There are several itineraries to follow: the artistic one in particular is characterized by the ancient Romanesque churches whose territory is rich, and works of art by contemporary national and foreign artists.

For those who love sports in contact with nature, there are different paths you can walk, run, ride by bike and horse, proceeding through the territory of Valdera.

In 2003 some municipalities of Valdera have joined forces to enhance their small and large museums Culture; their environment and territory offer essential opportunities to the cultural and economic development of an area. One of the basic factors of this process is the knowledge of places, stories, societies, that you can acquire through a cultural journey. Tourism, therefore, enhances the territory and its cultural heritage, but to make this possible it is necessary to create a network of museums spread throughout the territory and appropriate to “welcome” the visitors.
