Legoli is a part of the municipity of Peccioli, in Pisa.
As Repetti says, it is a castle with Parish, Santi Bartolomeo and Giusto, even filial of the ancient baptismal of Toiano, in the Jurisdictional Community and about 4 east miles of Peccioli, Volterra Diocese, Pisa Compartment.
It is situated on a tuffaceous hill, and there is the “torrente Carfalo” river from Eastern to Northern and it divides Legoli from Toiano and Montefoscoli.

The work of art is the monumental tabernacle painted by Benozzo Gozzoli between 1479 and 1480, during this moment the painter was living in Pisa, he escaped in those countryside for running away from the plague that was in the whole Tuscany.
Gozzoli’s Tabernacle was englobed in the current oratory in 1822 by Alessio Del Fanteria, receiving the dedication to Santa Caterina.
