Palaia

A place with Etruscan origins

Palaia has etruscan origins and it is the meeting point for naturalistic and landscape excursion.
You should absolutely visit Pieve di San Martino, where Festival Internazionale delle Corali takes place in summer. In Montefoscoli we can visit Museo della Civiltà Contadina. It is not just a collection of working tools to show to the public, it is composed of some laboratories for the transformation of the products from an old farm.

In this town some popular films have been set: some of them are La notte di San Lorenzo e Fiorile by Taviani, and N (Io e Napoleone) by Paolo Virzì.
